Choose how people experience a simulation

Use guided walkthroughs, free exploration and auto journeys for different learning and demonstration needs.

Updated

The same Lokaverse simulation can support three experiences. Authors decide which modes viewers can choose. You can reuse the content for a learner, a product prospect or a screen at an event.

Guided walkthrough

A guided walkthrough follows the authored steps in order, with the camera moving to the relevant point. Use it when someone needs to understand a sequence, such as an equipment procedure or a device demonstration.

Explore freely

Free exploration lets the viewer investigate the 3D scene at their own pace. Use it when people need to inspect parts, revisit details or build familiarity with a product or site.

Auto journey

An auto journey tours the authored steps by itself. It suits a display where the simulation needs to explain itself without someone advancing every step.

Prepare the experience for your audience

Check the sequence and camera framing, make the purpose of each step clear, and try the result on the devices your audience is likely to use. The browser player works on a computer or phone. On a phone, it remains a 3D browser experience.

Use the right format for the task

A procedure may begin with a guided walkthrough and then give the learner room to explore. A product demonstration may start with a short journey before a prospect opens the details that interest them. Keep the authored content accurate and appropriate for its intended use.
